The SLC is our lay leadership team.
One of the greatest needs in the church, today, is tranined leadership. All believers have been given some ability by God to serve his church. Men and women of God are called to lead his world, and the local church is the arena where we learn how to lead.
In the Servant Leadership Council, our people get practical experience leading God's church. And we need the practice! Developing and reaching goals. Working in teams. Growing in commitment. Training new believers to step up. Hearing God's leadership together... These things take time and practice. The SLC is a safe place to learn to lead God's church into God's purposes.
Members of The Resurrection meeting the biblical qualifications (1 Timothy 3:8-13) for a servant (deacon) are invited to lead ministries. All other believers are invited to help serve these leaders, and take responsilibities under their direction.
The SLC meets roughly every six weeks, on Saturday mornings. Check out the calendar to find the next meeting.
Everyone is welcome attend these meetings, and come learn how to get involved.
Our current list of who are current ministry leaders are can always be found under SLC Resources.
